In 1993, following international examples, 15 advertising and publishing companies have founded the Hungarian Audit Bureau of Circulations (Matesz) which was the first non-profit professional self-regulating organization in Central- and Eastern Europe. The model which has been tested in other countries meant to provide credible circulation data on the developing Hungarian media market.

Matesz has been growing and developing together with the market. As of today, Matesz has 85 members. The publications audited by us cover over 86 % of the print advertising market (source: TNS Media Intelligence, 2006).

The standard audit system which we introduced in 1994 is applied since as the norm (currency) on the market.

We put great emphasis on following the audit experiences and praxis on the international level and thanks to this we can often offer the best audit solutions.
